2018 Hydrangea Festival - Part 3
Next place I went to is to see the lead hydrangea that was chosen for the Flower Show and the Hydrangea Festival. For 2018, there were several lead hydrangeas based on the festival theme “Passport to Cityline”. This theme took festival onlookers a chance to go around the world and beyond through these beautiful flowers.
The Flower Show is a Standard Flower Show and the Show is judged by State Garden Club Judges. The Flower Show has won top state and national awards in its category and this year should be no exception.
It is executed by Douglas County Garden Clubs (Ama Kanasta, Town and Country, and Sweetwater), as well as the support of the awesome Douglas County Master Gardeners. The show includes a multitude of horticulture entries from local residents. There are also design table settings, bed trays, educational exhibits and more, all of which are breathtaking. I really enjoyed everything I have seen particularly in the design table settings and bed trays!
